OWA (Outlook Web Access) not compatible with Vista

Update for Exchange 2003 (KB 911829)

Brief Description
This update restores functionality to Microsoft Exchange 2003 Outlook Web Access due to changes being made to Internet Explorer in Microsoft Windows Vista.

Overview

In Microsoft Windows Vista, the Dynamic HTML Editing ActiveX control is being removed from the Internet Explorer browser. As a result, there is functionality missing that Microsoft Exchange 2003 Outlook Web Access relies on. This update replaces that deprecated functionality on the Microsoft Exchange 2003 servers so that Microsoft Exchange 2003 Outlook Web Access continues to function smoothly.

System Requirements

Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000 Service Pack 4; Windows Server 2003; Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-Bit x86); Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1
  • Exchange 2003 SP2 must be installed prior to installing this update.
